Bergman Wins LOS Spring 360 Sprint Nationals at Lake Ozark Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – ELDON, Mo. (May 28, 2018) – Seth Bergman continued his strong start to the season last weekend when he scored a podium finish during the opening night of the LOS Spring 360 Sprint Nationals before capturing the finale.

“Our goal was to go in and sweep the weekend,” he said.

The weekend didn’t get off to a great start on Friday when Bergman pulled a high pill to start at the back of a heat race. He advanced from eighth to fifth place, which lined him up on the outside of the fifth row for the ASCS Warrior Region A Main.

“The high pill draw certainly didn’t help,” he said. “We didn’t gain enough positions to make the feature redraw, but we kept at it all night long. I thought we had a shot to win the race. We were up there battling, but we got together with someone and lost ground.”

Bergman capped the night with a third-place result, which locked him into the feature redraw for Saturday’s $4,000-to-win show. He pulled the No. 5 to start the finale on the inside of the third row.

“I was able to pass most of the guys with slide jobs,” he said. “I tried to make smart decisions and put myself in the right spot. I think we took the lead on a restart around midway through the race. I knew Wayne (Johnson) would be right there if I made a mistake so I focused on hitting my marks for the rest of the race.”

Bergman was efficient as he scored his first career triumph at the track and his fourth victory of the season.

He is scheduled to make his debut at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla., with the ASCS Red River Region this Friday.
