Kraig Kinser Garners Second-Best Career Result at Lake Ozark Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (April 30, 2019) – Kraig Kinser nearly topped his career-best run at Lake Ozark Speedway last Friday during a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series show.
Kinser qualified seventh quickest and placed third in a heat race to lock into the 11th starting position for the main event. He ended with a 13th-place outing, which was only one position shy of tying his career-best result at the track.
“Those are the starts we want in qualifying, but we need to finish out a little stronger,” he said. “We made a couple of bad choices with some setup stuff that we need to clean up.”
Saturday’s event at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., rained out and Mother Nature wasn’t nice on Sunday at Jacksonville Speedway either.
Kinser timed in 11th quickest in his group and finished sixth in a heat race to narrowly miss locking into the main event after battling for a top-four position early.
“It’s a short track and guys bonsai in on you so it’s hard to get a good line running,” he said. “Everyone is running closely and people are sliding around. That’s just short track racing.”
He was slated to line up third in the Last Chance Showdown, but rain invaded the area as the race was about to begin.
Kinser will return to action with the World of Outlaws this Friday at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., and Saturday at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind.
