Xavier Doney Dominating Win at Lake Ozark Speedway with POWRi WAR
Eldon, MO. (7/6/24) Xavier Doney would set sail out front in the second night of the Independence Celebrations feature event at Lake Ozark Speedway with the POWRi WAR Sprint League to notch his sixth career feature victory to finalize the weekend two-step.
Racing onto the quick surface of Lake Ozark Speedway, POWRi WAR would find traditional sprinters witnessing Braydon Cromwell set the quickest hot-lap time of 13.625-second lap as Xavier Doney earned the heat racing victory.
Kick-starting the initial green flag start with high-point qualifier Braydon Cromwell and Xavier Doney lined up in the front row, Xavier Doney would gain the lead on the opening lap with Samuel Wagner blasting into the runner-up spot as Braydon Cromwell, Cody Baker, and Chase Howard raced inside the top five.
Overtaking for the top spot early would find Samuel Wagner protecting the lead for several laps with Doney, Braydon Cromwell, and Cody Baker all battling within inches for most of the exciting feature event.
Retaining steadily out front, Xavier Doney would emerge victorious with the POWRi WAR Sprint League at Lake Ozark Speedway to notch his second yearly league victory. Staying in the hunt Cody Baker would finish in a close runner-up as Braydon Cromwell completed the final podium placements.
“What a race between myself, Samuel, Cody, and Braydon, winning races like that are so much fun as the track was tricky tonight,” said victorious Xavier Doney in the Eldon, Missouri victory lane celebrations. Adding, “I still have another race to get ready for that is staging right now and I got to go.”
Challenging closely behind would find one-time leader of eight laps Samuel Wagner finish fourth as Chase Howard rounded out the top-five finishers for the POWRi WAR at Lake Ozark Speedway.
