Jason Russell Memorial Returns to Lake Ozark Speedway on July 6th Missouri Triple Crown Finale
Eldon, MO. (5/12/24) Forming one of the most anticipated weekends of racing action while honoring the life of one of the region's esteemed talents, Lake Ozark Speedway, in coordination with the Jason Russell Memorial Scholarship, and family members, are proud to announce the return of the $2,502-to-Win Jason Russell Memorial’ on Saturday, July 6th as part of the weekend’s Independence Celebrations; serving as the Missouri Triple Crown POWRi Late Model challenge finale.
Honoring the life and on-track achievements of Jason Russell, who accumulated over two hundred feature victories in late model, sportsman, stock car, and modified divisions including multiple track championships regionally as well as two ULMA National Champions in 2012 and 2013. Lake Ozark Speedway will graciously host the 25(+2) lap POWRi Late Model feature event with a total purse of 1. $2,502, 2. $1250, 3. $1000, 4. $900, 5. $800, 6. $700, 7. $600, 8. $500, 9. $400, 10. $350, 11. $325, 12-22: $300.
Dedicating the Missouri Triple Crown POWRi Late Model challenge finale as the ‘Jason Russell Memorial’, Lake Ozark Speedway will feature a silent auction and raffle during the race day activities, custom event apparel, admission prizes to be awarded to attendees, bonus contingencies for competitors, additional banners and signage with custom victory checks to the winner, as well as games and prizes for the kids in addition to a fireworks display concluding the racing event.
Additional information will be provided upon approval, please continue to monitor social media and websites for future updates. All proceeds from silent auction, raffle, T-shirt sales, and prizes directly go towards the Jason Russell Memorial Scholarship. Hosting a trio of top-notch open wheel divisions, Lake Ozark Speedway will honor Fourth of July Weekend in heart-pounding style when the one-third-mile oval welcomes the POWRi National & West Midget Leagues, the POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League, as well as the POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League in addition to the ‘Jason Russell Memorial’ added on Saturday, July 6th featuring the POWRi Late Models as part of the Missouri Triple Crown to an already stacked racing-card.
